Part II: German Armor Buildup

Still Backtracking, I have two Tiger II which I wanted to share as part of my great German Armor Buildup.  The first is a production turret model from Revell, while the second is a Trumpeter Porsche type turret with factory applied Zimmerit.

I used an AK pigment to create a rust effect, however, I haven’t completely mastered this technique and would appreciate any tips in the comments section.  I also used a wash to simulate battle-grime to dirty up this big kitty.

This Porsche Model turret kit from Trumpeter added another “heavy,” to the horde.  I enjoyed seeing what their take on zimmerit is like, but am also very keen on the DIY version from Paul’s Blog Plastic Warriors: http://plasticwarriors.blogspot.com/2013/01/contribution-corner-teds-tiger.html

I will be doing another tutorial on DIY zimmerit using Milliput shortly!
