below are some pictures from a recent game played a few weeks back, between my friend Kevin Scanlon, and wife Lauren at our new Apartment. I built a new table since the move which has a total Measurement of 6×8′ and will eventually include an additional leaf making it 6×10′. I do not remember much of the battle but that a good time was had and the game was played over the course of several days, however it was never completed. The scenario come from Kampfgruppe Normandy- the Panzer Lehr at La Charlemenerie. Below are the pictures….
I have been away from the hobby on holiday then moving and am glad to be finally back completing projects. Up first is a set of US jeeps and crew. I built 2 recce jeeps with .50 and .30 cal mgs and an HQ and Forward Spotter. The jeeps are Academy, Airfix, and Hasagawa with spares from SHQ, and blackdog. The crews are AB. Hope you enjoy!
here are two molded Plastic terrain pieces from Early War Miniatures and a Pegasus truck with newly painted milicast riders. The riders were a pain in the you know what to assemble, but all in all I am pleased with the finished product!
Today my wife and I played a modified version of scenario from the Battlegroup dispatches, called Stoumont. We played on a 2.5 ft x 8 ft area… A narrow road flanked by dense woods on both sides. The forces are also somewhat modified to allow me to unveil some newly painted/built pieces. The rules were battlegroup of course and the Germans one a very decisive victory, however the road became completely blocked and the kampfgruppe would have to hold up until the pioneers could come and clear it for further advance. We both had a great time and the winter table’s debut was pretty satisfying overall!! Below are the shots from the game!
Hope you enjoy!
Below are some shots of a BGO battle in the Bocage Country in Normandy between a U.S. Armored battlegroup and a Waffen SS Panzer Battlegroup. The objective for the Americans was to clear the bocage and seize the crossroads and exit points. The game ended after 6 Turns in a draw. Fun was had on both sides and we were treated to some new hedges and bocage and trees that were refurbished with the miraculous material, rubberized horsehair. This game also feature all new SS figures from AB and TQD. I will be sure to post updates for this army in a separate piece. Hope you enjoy!
